Too hot to handle?

Its amazing what happens when you take a couple of weeks off to move after a lengthly contract in another province.

Steve McIntyre's Climate Audit is destroyed by DOS attacks after noting that Hansen's temperature data has majors flaws, Anthony Watts is pilloried for his pagan belief that people should be shown the deplorable condition of climate data gathering sites.

And here I thought that the whole mess had cooled off somewhat. Little did I know.

I have been following the sun spots though. Very low activity on old Sol these days and an increase in clouds in western Canada. Alberta appears to have had a very cold start to August, we'll see if things warm up in the latter half. Coastal BC has also had a cool summer, probably just an anomaly, or local cooling at best, so no need to worry about warming.

Arctic ice is apparently at an all time low, if you take the last 30 years as all of time. Just think what our ancenstors would have made of that, there really is a Northwest Passage!

Hansen now claims that 1934 was warmer than 1998, at least in the US.

See what happens when you're not looking?

Thank goodness that global warming foolishness is over and the left can get back to making their livings off the backs of the poor.

The poor have been getting right out of hand with no one to guide them on being poor.

I was just reading about the group of poor panhandlers who beat an old guy to death, because they are poor.

http://www.thestar.com/News/article/245861

Not a word in that piece from taliban Jack and the crew defending the right of the those panhandlers to beat that old guy to death because they are poor.

Who will cry for the poor, and fight for their right to kill if taliban Jack and his ilk are now making their living off of global warming hysteria?

Yes, the foolishness is definitely subsiding. Now it is simple refinement of the science, cross checking data, verification, and all that sort of boring scientific method stuff.

It took a while for the Luddites to be swept aside by the tides of progress in a past century, and now the "I'm going to pollute just like I have all my life!" folks are being lost in the tide as well in this century.

Nice to see the old battle axes still here though. I always enjoy functioning anachronisms!

No, it sounds like the foolishness continues from the sounds of that.

I guess the "science" your referring to is the extremely accurate climate science which can't even competently predict the weather next week.

Looks like any science you don't agree with is "foolishness". Too bad you were born four centuries too late. I'm sure you wouldn't have let Galileo get away with house arrest. You'd have enjoyed taking him to the dungeons for some "global warming" of another kind.

Yes, that kind of science. Like the science that cannot competently predict the positions of the pistons in my car engine, but can only competently predict that the car will start when I leave today.

eng, if I throw a potatoe up in the air and it comes down and lands on your pumpkin, I can see and understand the laws of gravity, science in action, so to speak.

when I see the glowtardian scientist putting their weather dectectors beside bbq's, over top of air conditoners and heating units, that tells me they don't know their ass from their elbow.

eng - it's interesting you bring up Galileo. I've often used him as an example myself.

In fact, Galileo went AGAINST the scientific consensus of his day and was laughed at by his fellow scientists.

The only difference was that in Galileo's day, science was controlled by religion, whereas today climate change science has become a religion unto itself with its own prophets and preachers like Almer Goretry.

And of course those, like me, who believe that anthropogenic global warming is farcical, are called DENIERS - equating us with Holocaust deniers.

But unlike the fanatics who blindly follow the junk science promoted by the likes of Gore, I believe in freedom of religion, and that includes the freedom to opt out of the great anthropogenic climate change theocracy.

Nice spin cycle there!

The scientists of Galileo's time did not have a consensus contrary to his views. Copernicus postulated the earth orbiting the sun. Kepler said the orbits are elliptical, and not circular. Galileo did not agree with elliptical orbits, but they all agreed the earth orbits the sun.

Galileo was persecuted by the church of the time. Trying to cast the modern day climate change "sceptics" as being like him is laughable. You're no Galileo, Dr. Bell!

If you wish to conclude that being called a denier equates you with Holocaust deniers, that is your problem. Since you believe modern science is now "religion", you have already demonstrated a lack of logical thinking, so your fake indignation at being called a denier is no surprise.

Your calling science religion is harmless, so go ahead and claim your freedom of religion. It is only if you try to claim your right to pollute is being infringed that you will find you can't have your way. Just like they allow Muslims to wear hats and scarves of their choosing, but don't allow them to mutilate their little girls, you can spout off your climate change "theories", but your pollution will not go unchecked forever.

It is only when you falsely claim that your air is being polluted that you will find you can't have your way.

Good. I'll be over with the big honey bucket truck tomorrow. Would you prefer it dumped beside your front yard, or the back? You're not going to make false claims that septic waste is polluting your air, will you?

Thanks for making it clear nobody can "have their way" over having their air polluted. Just call it a false claim and tell them to shut up. So now I can dump at your place with impunity. That's a relief! I sure don't want that crap near my place.
