Climate by numbers

The local forecast is calling for temperatures to rise to 283 K by the weekend from current 274 K conditions, a 3.3 per cent increase in less than three days. At the current rate, temperatures will reach over 1000 K by the end of the year. As a result, Environment Canada will be issuing a "be vewy afwaid" climate warning.

Kelvin. Oh very clever. You global warming deniers will try every trick to minimize the threat we face.

In Celcius, the trend you've noted has the temperature climbing from 1 C to 10 C in those three days -- a 1000% increase! We'll all be dead by May.

Very good, you are an excellent student of climato-numerology. Cash in those RRSPs, they won't be much good for very long.
