Candidates Coalition

Rod Morley, J. Daniel O'Neail and Ma'in Sinan, candidates for wards 3, 4 and 7 respectively in the upcoming November municipal election, have formed the Candidates Coalition:

The goal of the C.C. is to provide the citizens of London with an opportunity to view a different City Council. The Voters have seen the current council's behavior, but normally do not have the opportunity to see how new candidates would perform on their behalf.

As a coalition of new candidates we intend to hold open meetings where the media and public can attend, and watch their perspective representatives in action before the election. How a new candidate can work in this group environment will reflect how we will act after we are voted in. This provides a forum for candidates to introduce initiatives and debate them in public.
The general disregard of the London Free Press and other media outlets in the city for non-incumbent candidates has undoubtedly contributed to the decline in voter interest and turnout in the last few elections. It is hoped that interest will be brought to bear by enterprises such as the Candidates Coalition.
