Stop imagining and start reasoning

The government bureaucracy has fostered Civil Service as an extraordinarily powerful tool of entrenchment and permanent domination. Tyranny by majority vote may be unpleasant enough, but at least if the rulers are subject to democratic checks, they have to please the majority of the voters. But government officials who cannot be voted out at the next election are not subject to any democratic check whatever. They are permanent tyrants. "Taking something out of politics'' by putting it under Civil Service certainly does "increase the morale" of the bureaucracy. It elevates them into near-perpetual absolute rulers in their sphere of activity.

They tried to reason with them. You can't reason with someone when they won't meet with you, and discuss the issue. Looks good on the old boys at city hall. Funny actually. All those years of being paid to do nothing except line their pockets, and that of their friends.

You know there is only about 1/2 percentage of the people of London who even pay attention to what is going on. If someone could capture the attention of the other 99 and 1/2 percentage of the voters, it would be a good thing. I just hope Imagine London has the skills they will need to market themselves this upcoming election.

City hall won't meet with the London Fog either. We're considering taking our complaint to the OMB board.

If Imagine London holds the reigns of power, you can be sure they will be lining their own pockets in turn, and they'll do their best to get rid of checks and balances to prevent such abuse.

...well then they will just have their asses kicked to the curb too. Eveyone can be replaced. They will be good for a few years. Not saying they can't be bought, but it usually takes a few years to establish a price. Don't think any of them are stupid enough to sell themselves for London Knights hockey tickets. Though there was that time a city councilor sold themselves for the bluejay tickets. That was awhile ago, can't remember who it was. Nawww, none of them seem that dumb.
