The continuing mismanagement…

From the London Free Press:

December's heavy snowfall played havoc with more than just London drivers. It also buried the city's snow removal budget under a mountain of deficit.

City staff estimate the cost to clear roads and sidewalks last year will exceed the $8.7-million budget by as much as $800,000.

Although all the bills aren't in, staff say December alone may have doubled a projected snow-removal deficit of $400,000.
There's a pattern developing here:
the city came up $1 million short in snow removal costs last year and $2 million in the red the year before.
