Only stupid people breed

When the next election comes around ask your local candidates why we must support government sponsored childcare and Kyoto. Shouldn't we be penalizing parents with some kind of environmental tax instead of rewarding their inability to restrain their basest sexual urges with child tax credits?

"We can't be breeding right now," says Les Knight. "It's obvious that the intentional creation of another [human being] by anyone anywhere can't be justified today."
. . .
"Nobody will come right out and say that this is unsustainable, you can't do this," says Knight. "If you really are serious about the environment and your impact, zero is the optimal number of offspring that we should be producing."
Sadly, if all the rational, responsible individuals heed this advice, only the stupid and irresponsible will continue to breed. Wait a minute, isn't that why we're currently paying for universal childcare?
